HTC is all set to release the HTC Magic aka G2 based on Google’s Android mobile OS platform in April 2009. The phone would be sold in UK exclusively through Vodafone, the British mobile behemoth. The 2nd generation Google phone carries a 3.2 MP camera, WiFi, GPS receiver, 3G and so on.

Vodafone expects a much-needed boost to its fortunes with the exclusive G2 launch, as it remains engaged in a razor edge competition with Apple over dominance of the smartphone market.
